Griffin,
You are spot on about Yunie, but he is still way better than TPJ. Last season was also the 1st time in Betancourt's career that he had a negative WAR. I expect him to be somewhere between -1.0 and 0.5 for the 2010 season.

Career WAR:
Tony Pena Jr. -0.3 (2009 -0.8 in 40 G / 51 AB)
Luis Hernandez -0.1
Willie Bloomquist 1.0
Yuniesky Betancourt 1.9

The position of SS still needs to be addressed, but the same can be said for C, RF, CF, maybe 3B, most of the bullpen, and starters #3-5.

That, more than his hopes for Yunie, make Kaegel's prediction for the 2010 Royals laughable. Laughable and sad.

Funniest part of his answers for me are the ones about Betancourt. He was literally the worst every day player in baseball last year, and this guy expects him to turn it all around and lead the Royals to the playoffs? No offense to you Royals fans, as I really do feel for you, but that's just laughable.

He can't play defense, he's a below average hitter, and he has awful plate discipline. He'd be lucky to get back up to replacement level (-2.1 WAR in 2009).
