Keeping Tabs on the Non-Tenders

Teams have been snapping up the players that were non-tendered or released just over a week ago.  Since I invested so much time writing capsules on the 15th, it seems only right to track, and provide updates, on where they end up this offseason.

• Catcher:
  • Buck, John (29) [Royals] signed a 1-year $2 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays.  Agreed to terms on 12/13 and signed on 12/16.
  • Chavez, Raul (36) [Blue Jays] signed a minor league contract to stay with Toronto.
  • Riggans, Shawn (29) [Rays]
  • Rivera, Mike (33) [Brewers]
• First Base:
  • Garko, Ryan (28) [Giants]
  • Jacobs, Mike  (29) [Royals]
  • Whitesell, Josh (27) [Diamondbacks]
• Second Base:
  • Green, Andy (32) [Mets]
  • Johnson, Kelly (27) [Braves] has been offered a contract by the Diamondbacks, but has not signed.
• Third Base:
  • Atkins, Garrett (30) [Rockies] signed a 1-year $4 million contract with the Baltimore Orioles on 12/17.  The contract includes a $8.5 million club option for 2011 with a $500,000 buyout.  Atkins can earn an additional $1 million during 2010 by meeting incentives based on plate appearances.
  • Brown, Matt (27) [Angels]
• Outfield:
  • Amezaga, Alfredo (31) [Marlins] is attracting attention from a lot of teams.
  • Anderson, Brian N. (27) [Red Sox]
  • Anderson, Josh (27) [Royals]
  • Cust, Jack (30) [Athletics] has drawn interest from the Giants, Royals, and Tigers.
  • Gomes, Jonny (29) [Reds]
  • Gross, Gabe (30) [Rays]
  • Langerhans, Ryan (29) [Mariners] signed a 1-year contract to stay with Seattle  on 12/18.
  • Reed, Jeremy (28) [Mets]
  • Sullivan, Cory (30) [Mets]
• LHP:
  • Cotts, Neal (29) [Cubs]
  • Dumatrait, Phil (28) [Pirates] signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers on 12/18.
  • Olsen, Scott (25) [Nationals] agreed to terms on a 1-year $1 million contract with Washington on 12/13.
• RHP:
  • Arredondo, Jose (25) [Angels] hasn’t signed with anyone but he was stabbed in the left arm this week.
  • Bass, Brian (27) [Orioles]
  • Broadway, Lance (26) [Mets] signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on 12/16.
  • Capps, Matt (26) [Pirates] has narrowed his options down to five or six teams.
  • Carrasco, D.J. (32) [White Sox]
  • Casilla, Santiago (29) [Athletics]
  • Condrey, Clay (34) [Phillies]
  • DiFelice, Mark (33) [Brewers] signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on 12/15.
  • MacDougal, Mike (32) [Nationals]

  • Miller, Adam (25) [Indians] signed a minor league contract to stay with Cleveland on 12/13.
  • Moseley, Dustin (27) [Angels]
