I've long been eying him in fantasy baseball, waiting with a watchful eye. Obviously, the Royals can afford to take a risk on a player like this because they're so bad that he can't possibly make them worse. Unlike their acquisitions of past-their-peak (or peakless) players of the Jose Guillen/Yuniesky Betancourt ilk, this could actually yield a return, and he could be had for next to nothing (read: less than MTV veejay Dan Cortes and an additional prospect).
