Royals Prospects Make a Few BA Top 20 Lists

facebooktwitterreddit

On September 23rd, Baseball America started releasing its Top 20 Prospect Lists for each league in the minors.  Below you will find links to each list.  If you are a BA subscriber, you can click on the link at the beginning of each league’s write-up to read scouting report on each player in the top 20.  I also recommend checking out the chats that are done on the same day as the list for each league.  The Royals do not have teams in all of these leagues, obviously, but I think it is important to keep tabs on prospects in other organizations so I’m including links to them all.  Enjoy!

Gulf Coast League [Rookie] (September 23rd)

Arizona League [Rookie] (September 24th)
None of the AZL Royals made the list.

Appalachian League [Rookie] (September 25th)
The Burlington Royals were represented by LHP-John Lamb (#7).

Pioneer League [Rookie] (September 28th)
The Idaho Falls Chukars were represented by C-Wil Myers (#1), LHP-John Lamb (#15), and C-Salvador Perez (#20).

New-York Penn League [Short-Season] (September 29th)

Northwest League [Short-Season] (September 30th)

Midwest League [Low-A] (October 1st)
The Burlington Bees were represented by LHP-Mike Montgomery (#5), RHP-Tim Melville (#11), and 1B-Eric Hosmer (#12).

South Atlantic League [Low-A] (October 2nd)

California League [High-A] (October 5th)

Carolina League [High-A] (October 6th)
The Wilmington Blue Rocks had 5 players make the top 20.  Those players are:  LHP-Mike Montgomery (#7), 3B-Mike Moustakas (#8), LHP-Danny Duffy (#11), OF-David Lough (#16), and SS-Jeff Bianchi (#19).

Florida State League [High-A] (October 7th)

Southern League [Double-A] (October 8th)

Eastern League [Double-A] (October 9th)

The Texas League list will be released tomorrow, which will include the Royals’ NW Arkansas team.  The Omaha affiliate will appear in the Pacific Coast League report, but I can’t imagine that any of the O-Royals will make the list.

Today should be a double post day. Last night I got caught up in the Nebraska/Missouri football game and fell asleep at some point during the second half. Not the greatest excuse for not publishing something, but I was tired …
