The Royals mascot is a lion named Sluggerrr (the 3 Rs are intentional) who kids, my 2 boys included, absolutely love. As far as mascots go, Sluggerrr is pretty awesome IMHO. I think they should market him more and have Sluggerrr themed days out at the K.

Sluggerrr made his debut as the Royals mascot in 1996. Sadly that means he has seen a LOT of VERY VERY bad baseball.

Sidebar question: I saw the Royals mascot on TV for the first time, I think, ever, a few days ago. What is he and what is his name? I think I saw a dog wearing a crown, and people riotously stealing cotton candy from him.
